Calling all public service workers! The U.S. Department of Education has announced a major update to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program that makes it easier to access debt relief. For a limited time only, borrowers can get credit toward PSLF for past period of repayment that wouldn’t ordinarily qualify under the rules of the program. Under the limited PSLF Waiver, borrowers can now get credit for past periods even if the payments were: short, late, on the wrong type of loan, or on the wrong repayment plan. To date, over 175,000 borrowers have been approved for over $9.5 billion in federal student loan debt relief through the waiver. But to benefit from this time-limited opportunity, you have to act now. The temporary changes expire on October 31, 2022. Whether you’re a teacher, a firefighter, a social worker, or any other employee at a government or non-profit agency, please join us for a webinar to learn more about the PSLF waiver and how you can take advantage of this opportunity.
